WHO WE ARE
We are a Parents and Teachers Association for a TK-8 school in Sacramento, California. The PTA and school support neighborhood children in the Arden area and offer the only dual immersion Spanish/English program in the San Juan Unified School District. We are a diverse Title 1 school in which our students speak over 17 home languages.
Please help the PTA and the school get off to a great start this fall after 15 months of interrupted learning.
OUR BOARD

¡Hola! I’m Araceli, and have a 4 th grader at Thomas Edison this year. In addition to our 4 th grader, my husband, Luis, and I have two high school students (in 12 th & 11 th grades) that attend Mira Loma High School.
Our family moved to Sacramento in Feb 2017, and most weekends you can likely find us on a soccer field, but love all the activities the Sacramento area has to offer! I have a background in School Counseling, and love talking about education and language acquisition. I’m excited to be a part of the PTA this year, and look forward to another great year with our awesome Thomas Edison school community and events. Go Tigers!

He has two children at Thomas Edison Language Institute (TELI) in the Dual Immersion program, grades 7 and 4. They have been a member of the TELI family since the start of the 2018/19 academic year.
When not at the school, the O’Connor family is camping, participating in sports, and participating in Boy and Girl Scout events.
Daniel has been a part of the TELI PTA since 2018, serving as a member in 18/19, Vice President 19/20 & 20/21, Historian 21/22, Treasurer 22/23, and Historian again this year (23/24). He tries to help where needed!
